Founded in 2011, the Yale US-China Distinguished Colloquium (YUCDC) is one of the most influential China summits organized by Chinese students in North America. Over the years, more than 100 academic elites and industry leaders from China and abroad have attended as guests. Peter Salovey is the twenty-third president of Yale University and the Chris Argyris Professor of Psychology. Since becoming president in 2013, he has led the development of new programs and facilities across the schools and departments of Yale, consistent with the vision and strategy he articulated earlier in his presidency.
Robert Hormats is a well-known figure in American politics and business, having worked for five US presidents and holding top positions at Goldman Sachs. As Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment, he played a key role in international economic and financial matters. Currently, he serves as Vice Chairman of Kissinger Associates, Inc. and is actively involved in promoting US business interests abroad, having led government and business delegations to several countries and international organizations.
Winston Lord served as the US Ambassador to China from 1985 to 1989 and Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs from 1993 to 1997. He played a key role in opening relations with China, and in ending the Vietnam War through the 1972 Shanghai Communiqué and the 1973 Paris Peace Accords. He has authored "Kissinger on Kissinger: Reflections on Democracy, Grand Strategy, and Leadership" and has held several positions, including Director of Policy Planning at the Department of State and President of the Council of Foreign Relations. Lord has won awards for his service and is currently Chair Emeritus at the International Rescue Committee.
Mr. Jim Rogers graduated with a bachelor's degree cum laude in history from Yale University in 1964. Mr. Rogers also acquired a second BA degree in philosophy, politics, and economics from the University of Oxford, He is an American investor and financial commentator based in Singapore. Mr. Rogers is the chairman of Beeland Interests, Inc. He was the co-founder of the Quantum Fund. He was also the creator of the Rogers International Commodities Index (RICI).
